ProEMG

The myon ProEMG software range integrates with all Motion Lab Systems EMG systems, including the myon system and integrates seamlessly with Vicon Nexus and Workstation as plug-ins in the processing pipelines.

The myon software can directly integrate with National Instruments ADC devices to record EMG data to ASCII and Excel file formats for analysis.

ProEMG includes support for C3D files.

ProEMG is a software package designed to make processing of EMG data simple without sacrificing flexibility and functionality. ProEMG lets you define one-click pipeline processing, automatic event identification and automatic parameter calculation schemes, thus combining the flexibility you need when deciding how to process the data with the ease of use you need when doing the processing. Once the processing is finished, you have the choice of exporting the data to Microsoft Excel for further analysis, or to Microsoft Word for reporting. proEMG software

Two versions of ProEMG are available, both supporting EMG data capture via National Instruments ADC devices amd using the C3Dserver to provide support for the C3D file format.

ProEMG Lite is supplied with myon EMG systems and, when used with a suitable National Instruments or Data Translation ADC device, lets you capture data to the hard disk, view existing data, and export data either to an ASCII file or directly to Microsoft Excel.

ProEMG has all the functionality of the Lite version plus signal processing, automatic calculation, report generation and automatic processing functions.

A third version of ProEMG is available for integration with a Vicon system. The Nexus plug-in version lets you access all the advanced signal processing, automatic event identification, parameter calculation, data export, report generation and automatic processing functions of proEMG from within the Vicon software.

The ProEMG user interface has been designed to be as easy to use as possible without sacrificing functionality. There are no hidden menus, and no complex configuration text files. Everything is available from the main processing window, and all key processing activities are either applied automatically, or require only a single button click. User-selectable options are written out in plain English, and additional information can be obtained from tool tips.

ProEMG lets you configure your processing in simple, yet powerful windows that expose the available functions in drop-down menus, letting you choose what you need without having to search for information or edit a complex script. Once you have configured your processing pipeline, your event identification and your parameter calculation schemes, you can name and save these so that they can be applied to future data sets with a single click.

Direct Export

ProEMG implements full C3D file support using the C3Dserver, guaranteeing full compatibility with the C3D file standard. In addition, ProEMG exports directly to Microsoft Word and Excel, without using an intermediate file. Analysis Functions

The full ProEMG application has an extensive and growing library of available functions and parameter definitions. These include filters (high-pass, low-pass and notch), smoothing algorithms (moving average and RMS), Fourier Transform, differentiators, and many more. All functions are configurable with relevant parameters such as cut-off frequencies and window sizes. Automatically calculated parameters include muscle onset/offset/duration time, integrated EMG, mean/median frequencies, RMS values, and many more.

Vicon Motion Capture Integration

ProEMG is also available as a plug-in to the Vicon Nexus and Workstation software packages, which lets you acquire the data using the normal Vicon analog capture functionality, but use the advanced processing functionality of ProEMG from within the Vicon software.
